In partnership with NYC Department of Small Business Services
About
In response to the pandemic, Chashama is partnering with NYC Small Business Services through our Enliven NYC: Storefront Startup program, which connects small businesses with temporary vacant storefronts at no cost to the business owner. One of the biggest challenges facing small businesses is access to capital for commercial leases, made more difficult during the pandemic. Storefront Startup alleviates the burden of making rent for participating small businesses with our pop-ups. We welcome applications from business owners residing in low to moderate-income neighborhoods throughout New York City. Check the Locations page for a listing of current businesses as well as our expanding portfolio of vacancies.

About Chashama
For over 25 years, Chashama has partnered with property owners to transform $9 million worth of unused real estate into 85 spaces for 30,000 artists and small businesses, creating economic growth for New York City. In 2018, Chashama saw the need of expanding what we do to work with small businesses. We have given spaces to small businesses to help them grow their clientele, help them advertise, and gain the knowledge of how to run a small business. It is our hope to help hundreds of small businesses in NYC.
